Thomas Aquinas wrote about the nature and role of government in the Monarchy. In the Reign was a letter written, as a favor, the king of Cyprus. In this letter, Aquinas presents his point of view on political philosophy. He speaks about the role of government and of human nature. Also thomas Aquinas expresses that the domain of a tyrant is the worst of the cases, but also emphasizes the need for people to be under one authority. He refers to if the large pieces of the earth should be ruled by many people or just one. Finally, he also emphasizes the poisonous role of corruption in a society. He also recommended to the king of Cyprus to seek God more than in vain honor.
