Salary is the monetary compensation that is paid to a worker or an employee for work done or service to offer. In a company or a factory, there are two types of workmanship that is to say, direct labor and indirect labor. Direct labor are the workers on the production line whose efforts directly to produce what the company makes, while the indirect labor are all other workers, such as a watchman or security guard. In this case, the wages of a timekeeper would be classified as indirect labor.
