To calculate the range of the given function, we first need to compute the inverse of the function;y=sqrt(x)-5this can be written as:y+5=sqrt(x)From the above equation we can conclude that we can get the square of all values of x such that:x≥-5otherwise we will not be able to get the square root, because square roots of negative numbers are complex numbers;therefore we come to the conclusion that the range of the function is {y∈R: y≥-5}since -4 is included in this set, then our answer is option [A]
