The correct answer is Athens centered in citizenship, while Sparta focused on the military.Athena was considered an intellectual of the society of Sparta. This is due to its focus on academics and democratic ideas. In Athens, we used a system of direct democracy. This is a political system in which citizens vote directly on the laws that are to take place in their society. However, in Sparta, focuses on the development of a military state. This state revolved around the training of young boys/men (sometimes as young as 6) to be warriors. The objective of this kind of militaristic state was the creation of a society that is strong enough to defeat any enemy you can find.
