The factor that is very unlikely that have influenced the high levels of obedience observed in Milgram is a the gender aspects related with the behavior found only in males. Factors such as the instruction of a supposed authority figure, putting the 'teacher' and 'student' in different room, a constant increase in the level of discharge were more likely to have influenced the observed level of obedience.
