The Executive Office of the President (EOP) was created in 1939 by President Franklin D. Roosevelt to communicate the message of the President and the promotion of commercial interests abroad. EOP consists of the immediate staff of the President of the united States, as well as multiple levels of support staff reporting to the President. The executive office of the president is led by the White House, the Chief of Staff. The White House, the Chief of Staff is responsible for overseeing the actions of the White House staff, managing the President's schedule, and deciding who is allowed to meet with the President.
