For this problem, we use the formula of radioactive decay, which is expressed in the following way:An = Aoe^-ktwhere A is the amount remaining after a time t, Ao is the initial amount and k is a constant. We calculate in the following way:An = Aoe^-kt0.5 = e^-k(5730) - k = 1.21x10^-4An = Aoe^-ktAn = 200e^-1.21x10^-4(17190) = 25Therefore, about 175g occurs.
