Stellar equilibrium, or also known as hydrostatic equilibrium is the balance between the pressure in the interior of the star and the force of gravity. The first element is the pressure refers to the thermal pressure resulting from the fusion reactions that take place in the core of the star. This would give rise to very high temperature and pressure. Therefore, due to the intensity, has the tendency to push outward. Then, the function of the severity is keeping the gases in the bay by pulling it toward the interior, so that the stars would remain in balance.
