Should as white as snow be used as a simile now a days?

Without a doubt ! Newly fallen snow is pure white. It only becomes tarnished through man-made pollution of the snow can sometimes be contaminated and become grey or pink. Similes are't meant to be inexhaustible, though, there's a limit on how close two things can be compared. But that does not matter, however, when people think of the snow, we usually think of a pure white, hence the use of this simile.
