TruePetroleum and the coal can be extracted from the continental shelf. Magma from the Earth's interior seeps up through cracks in the mountains in the middle of the ocean. There is speculation on if this is a cost-effective technique. Fossil fuels and mineral deposits can be located along the continental shelf and also in some of the deepest depths of the ocean.
