False, the mining, both short-term and long-term affects on the land, depending on what type of mine it is and where it is located. some non-combustible material can be extracted without a direct impact on the environment. But metal minerals must be treated with chemicals to extract the material used. The toxins can be created, and when these toxins leak into the streams and lakes of the poisons kill everything it touches. The effects last forever.
