The kinetic energy is DIRECTLY PROPORTIONAL TO the MASS AND the SPEED.The formula to find kinetic energy is: KE = MV^2 /2, Where:KE = Kinetic energyM = Mass of the objectV = object Velocity;The mathematical relationship above shows that the kinetic energy is directly proportional to the mass and also directly proportional to the square of the velocity of an object. This implies that, the greater the mass and velocity of an object, the greater the kinetic energy that they possess. The reverse is also true, the lower part of the mass and velocity of an object, the smaller is their kinetic energy.
