International baccalaureate (IB) programs are exactly the same as Advanced placement (AP) classes in the United States . The difference is that universities, which in other"r" countries that adopt the IB, but do not take AP. Thus, the main advantage is mobility. That is, you can go to almost any school, anywhere with IB credits, but you have to stay in the United States, loans so on.
