Is today Veterans Day?

Is today Veterans Day? I'm just getting to know that Veterans Day is a public holiday in America, but I don't know the exact date for it. I was wondering if anyone could help me with details. What restaurants offer free Veterans Day meals? How do I obtain a ticket for Veterans Day free food?

No, today isn't Veterans Day. Veterans Day in 2018 is on Sunday, the 11th of November but will be celebrated on Monday, the 12th of November 2018. Thus, Monday, the 12th is considered a federal or public holiday. However, in case you're not aware, Veterans Day began as “Armistice day” in 1919, when the first anniversary of the end of the first World War was observed and celebrated. You would recall the atrocities committed during the First World War, how that innocent soldiers were brutally murdered, homes and public institutions vandalized. Many could not wait for the catastrophe to end and you'll agree with me that more than enough damage had already been done by the time the war ended officially. The end of the war brought back peace and sanity all over the world, and this gave rise to the Veterans Day. For decades, Veterans Day has usually been observed and celebrated in most countries around the world. It's a day to honor and celebrate men and women who have demonstrated a high level of bravery, and it is not a surprise to see countries like America honor these individuals the most. There are so many events and exercises put in place in honor of this category of people. Among these are free food on Veterans Day, discounts, free admission into fun places, free tickets to the movies, and more.

There are so many places to get free food. But it's important that you call ahead to know what's up and to get more information about the things that are available. Some of these places include Max and Erma's, where you could get a free cheeseburger including fries and drinks. Romano's macaroni grill is also offering veterans and military personnel free spaghetti and meatballs. Famous Dave's is also on the list. You can stand a chance of getting two meat combos and cornbread muffin for free. Buffalo wild wings is equally offering a small order of wings alongside fries. Red Lobster is also offering free appetizers and desserts on November 10th and 11th.

Others include TGI Fridays, Texas Roadhouse, Chili's, Bob Evans, pizza factory, village inn, and many more. These are delicious vet day meals you would really love if you're a veteran.

For the Veterans Day free food, I had a cheeseburger and fried shrimp for free at sizzles and I've got to say, it was an awesome experience for me. You get this advantage from being a veteran. All you have to do is show them your ID and you'll be treated as you should. Last year, I went with my entire family to an amusement park in California, and we were treated like the owners of the park, so, if you're a veteran or an active military personnel, I believe you should take advantage of these free offers while you can because they might not be available till next year. If you feel the restaurants mentioned in the answer are far from you, you could visit the ones within your neighborhood to find out if they'll be offering free items.

Does anyone also think Veterans Day meals taste better than the regular ones? Anyway, that's just an observation I made over the course of the previous years. It is just an exaggerated way of saying those meals are perfect. There are lots of other restaurants and stores where you could get Veterans Day free food. They are Bonefish Grill, Friendly's, Krystal, Cici's pizza, o'charley Bar and grills. Don't forget to show proof that you are a member of the military service.
