Is there a UMD academic calendar for the whole year?

I’m currently looking for the UMD academic calendar, preferably the one for the whole upcoming year. Is there one already available? I have many plans for the upcoming months and it would be great to have a UMD calendar right now when I can still change them. So, I need a general outline of the major events such as the start of classes, exams, and holidays. Is there a published academic calendar UMD?

Yes, there is a general outline that you can already find on the Internet. Actually, you don’t even have to search for it on various services—it’s given on the official University of Maryland website. Here it is - https://umd.edu/ You just have to find the Division of Academic Affairs category. Or, I’ll simply give you the direct link right here - https://www.provost.umd.edu/calendar/18.html  Here’s the whole calendar for the 2018-19 academic year.

In case you cannot access this calendar of UMD, here you will find the main dates. The classes begin on August 27 and are disrupted for one day to celebrate Labor Day that is September 3, as you probably already know. Then, the classes go as planned until the Thanksgiving recess. So, you’ll have November 21-25 free and can plan a mini vacation for this extended weekend. However, many places are on a break these days as well. So, depending on your plans, you may rather choose other dates.

Then, the next major events of the academic calendar of UMD happen on December 10. That’s the last day of classes. It’s time to rejoice and forget about school! Well, almost. The next day is for the reading which is followed by the final exams right away. This week of UMD finals can be the hardest time of your studies if you don’t work the whole before it. Or, it can be more relaxing. Personally, I always try to do my best to be the most relaxed during this week I can be. Besides, Christmas is nearing, you have other problems to worry about. Then, you are basically free till the beginning of the next tern on January 2.

I don’t know about your academic calendar before this, but I’m sure you are acquainted with the general system that is quite similar in most establishments. If you need the exact dates to schedule your plans for then, I hope my research helps you.

UMD academic calendars always follow the same script and you can plan trips for years to come.
