If the rebellion is justified depends on who you are and whom you ask. Americans think that rebellion against any government that is oppressive is probably a good thing. Ask who are running the governments and probably get the opposite response. The rebellion occurs when people see no other alternative that will give them a voice in politics and in society. What, these rebellions are "voluntary";some condition drives the people to revolt. The poverty, the lack of inclusion, etc, And then there are the "youth" rebellions. When young people begin to see the world as it is, every generation goes through a certain level of disillusionment, even despair. And the idealism they try to keep sometimes erupts into rebellion against the reality. I see this as almost involuntary, as a rite of passage.
