Is it true that facts are better than opinions in persuasive writing?

It is true. if you have a group of say 100 people and asked them their opinion on something not everyone opinion would be the same, because someones opinion depends on on the different things that have happened or are happening in life. So if you have the facts in place of opinions in a persuasive writing, then, you will have a better chance of persuading someone.
