The form emails is the plural; the form email's is the singular possessive. Examples: plural: We have some e-mail messages in response to our research. plural possessive: We should send the emails ' responses today. singular: I have the e-mail response to my question. (the term 'email response' is a compound noun form) singular possessive: The email's response was quick.
