Is it a federal law which says no prayer in schools in the US?

Its called the First Amendment to the Constitution... the First Amendment to The Constitution of the united states is also the first section of the bill of Rights . Is the most important part of the Constitution of the united states , as it guarantees freedoms of religion, speech, writing and publishing, peaceful assembly, and freedom to raise grievances with the Government. In addition, it is required that a wall of separation between church and state. It says that the " Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances." * This means that public schools are forbidden to require students to participate in any religious activities, what ever,Public schools are forbidden from promoting any religion....The prayer (of any kind) was never made illegal in the public school system,Students who wish pray may still do so freely,provided they do not disrupt the class or the school.. But the school cannot require the student demand for participation,or the school may promote,endorse or make part of its cirriculum any religious activities.
