There are a number of reasons that the Palestinians believe explainwhy the earth is one of them. 1) Original Inhabitants: This is the strongestcase for the Palestinians and goes how the Palestinianslived in the British Mandate of Palestine for at least 800 years as the consistent majority of people in the territory. Have loveand reverence for the earth and consider that it is an intrinsic part of their identity. 2) Atrocities have no Statute of Limitations: ManyPalestinians assert that Israelis stole their land and possessionsfrom 1920-1949, most violently during the Arab-Israeli War of1948-9 when numerous massacres were perpetrated by the Jews militiasto ensure the exodus of the Palestinian People. These Palestiniansassert that Israel should not be allowed to benefit from thisseizure of territory. 3) Muslim and Christian Holy places: ThePalestinians has numerous sacred sites which belong to theirreligions, as well as in the British Mandate of Palestine. Jerusalemholds Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Dome of the Rock, the third most holysites in all of Islam. There is also the Christian Monuments such as the Church of the Holy Sepulchre of jerusalem and the cities of Nazareth andBethlehem. Many Palestinian Muslims and Christians who want to live in such places as they used to. 4) Arab Reception: the Palestinians have been confinedto refugee camps and occasionally attacked in violent pogroms bytheir Arab neighbors (like the attack on Sabra and Shatila in 1982and Nahr El-Bared, in the year 2007). Palestinians assert like the Jews thatnobody is really looking out for their best interests other thanother Palestinians and this is the reason why I was never able to resolve inanother Arab State. 5) you can Never Declare a State: If thePalestinians accepted the Resolution 181 of the UN or not, were nevergiven an opportunity to Declare the Arab State which thatResolution gave them the right to do. After the Arab-Israeli War of1948-9, Jordan and Egypt occupied the west bank and the Gaza Strip, effectively preventing the nascent Palestinian organizations frombecoming a nation, although they have not wanted to do so. Today, the united States has actively tried to preventPalestinian access to the forums that allow to declare itsRight to be a State because of its protection of Israel.
