True, the larynx is connected to the upper part of the trachea.The larynx allows you to breathe and make noises. It is composed of cartilage and the membranes of the mucous membranes and that is located just below the end of the on the tongue. This is to protect the trachea, or windpipe, while to eat and to produce sound.
