The diode can be considered as a single-oriented change.The diode across S2 allows the current that flows from left to right, for the diode across S2 vice versa.When S2 and S3 closed, The light bulb will definitely light, since the branch through S2 and S3 is accessible, it is now equivalent to the connection of the light from the bulb directly to the power source. Because the potential voltage across the S2 and S3 does not change, the diode is not working here.
