If two waves have identical crests and valleys are, then we know that they have the same amplitude, frequency, and wavelength. But we still don't know if they are "out of step" or not.If their wave crests of the line-up, then the constructive interference will occur.If the crests of one wave align with the troughs of another wave, then destructive interference will occur.
