It might be a good idea to make a sketch of a triangle to help you answer this question.You know that sin = opposite over the hypotenuse, which means that the opposite side of the triangle has a length of 7 and the hypotenuse has a length of 25 (this could be simplified, for example, the triangle could actually have sides of length 14 and 50, 21 and 75, etc, but as it is cancelled that is not important).The use of Pythagoras ' theorem, you can work the adjacent side:As cos = adjacent over hypotenuse, you know that cosθ = 24/25
