From my experience, I believe that DePaul University is the best place to be for students who like traveling like you. DePaul’s study abroad program is one of the best in the country. The program provides with so many options to choose from in terms of the places where one wants to go to study and the duration. Students at the university can still continue with their studies upon visiting places like Europe, Asia, and Latin America among others. While I was a student, I got to visit three countries namely Sweden, France, and China. Students have more options to choose from in terms of regions than most of the other universities with such program. As a result, students are spoilt for choices.

At DePaul, you can choose a study abroad graduate program that suits you from the various options that they provide. The programs mainly available depend on the region one is visiting. Furthermore, the two programs available are the short-term and term-long. The former is mainly 1-3 weeks while the latter allows for a period of one quarter or more. The school encourages students to attend various study abroad session to decide which is the best plan for them. By visiting these meetings, you will learn so much in terms of selection, application, and scholarship options available. One secret I discovered that helped me get a scholarship was that I used to apply for financial aid while applying for the program.

The options and experience you get at DePaul are incomparable with what you get at any other university with study abroad programs. Despite the fact that most of the study abroad plans are expensive, there are some that cost almost the same as those offered in Chicago. Before you embark on any study abroad program, you get a chance to book an appointment to get advice on that plan. By choosing to study overseas, you get a chance to interact with people from different cultural backgrounds. Moreover, you get the experience of studying in a different environment away from Chicago. The study abroad program may have a significant impact on the way you approach your course in that you get a chance to meet with students from other countries in another school.

If you are looking for a place that offers you with a study abroad program with diversity education and various durations, DePaul is the place to be. Besides, the program allows for cross-cultural engagements. The school takes extra care of the health and safety of students during the entire period. For instance, when it comes to health, the school contacts other partner colleges in other countries on any health or safety related issue.

DePaul study abroad program is generally excellent and loved by many students. However, your decision to join the school should also depend on the course you wish to pursue. It would have been better if you had indicated your desired course. That aside, there are other universities in Chicago that are academically ranked higher and have such programs. If you wish to study something like psychology or sociology, some colleges provide more options than DePaul.

Another thing I noted with DePaul is that their program is costly. This is evident when compared with other colleges like Loyola. However, the main advantage with DePaul is that they have a campus in many places more than most of the other colleges with such programs. Since the university’s study abroad program has been existence for a long time, the school prides itself for providing its students with more options in terms of courses the can pursue abroad and the places the can go.
