Members of the tribe Choctaw does not receive monthly or annual percap amount of money for the tribe. The tribe does use tribal money to assist their members with emergency utilities, medical, programs for first time home buyers, scholarships for college, assistance for seniors, veteran programs, Head start programs, and other programs. Choctaw tribal members do not have to live in Oklahoma to receive most of these services and benefits. Many members of the tribe Choctaw recently just receive the money from the Cobell settlement. The united states Government paid pennies on the dollar to take the money that belongs to the members of the tribe and not accounting for their disappearance.
