Japan has a compulsory education that lasts through middle school. This is divided into 9 years of compulsory education with 6 years in primary school, and an additional 3 in myviolin of the school. Most of the Japanese students, however, go to the high School which is an additional 3 years meaning the average Japanese citizen is more likely that has not happened for at least 12 years of education.
