Although there may be an infinite number of solutions, it can be asimple way to summarise the set that they form. For example, solve x is evenly divisible by 2. The solution is theset of all numbers. Or solve |x - 3| < 1. This is the set of all numbers that areless than 1 unit away from the number 3. Although not areinfinitely many of them, the set is described by 2 < X< 4.
