Typically, the value of your financial aid package is determined by the income earned by you and your parents. If you do not have parents, the package is based on the income of your legal guardian. In the case of a single individual without a legal guardian, the financial aid package is based on your personal income. As a reminder, there are many private scholarships available for students who have lost one or both of their parents. I recommend the visit to a website of grants to search.
