According to the U.S. Department of Education, when a school closes"the generally accepted practice is that the school makearrangements with the state-licensing agency of sanore theirrecords." Although there is no guarantee that the school did this, it is worth checking with the united states Dept. of Education. For contactinformation for your state, visit the Related Link. If the closed school was affiliated with a religious organization,you can contact someone within that organization to help you to findout where the logs will be sent when the school was closed. If theorganization has another school that is still open, that would be a good place to start. If the school was affiliated with a particularchurch, that the church might still have the school records.
