You do not need a density to find the mass. In a lot of questions that you need to find density with mass and volume. But to find the density you could use a triple beam balance. Find the volume to be measured the length, width and height, or you can fill a beaker with water lets say 50g and then put the object in the beaker, and let's say got up to 80g all you have to do is subtract 80g-50g=30g. To find density with mass and volume is divided by the mass ------ volume and obtain the density.
