How do I choose affordable study abroad programs?

I have completed high school and would like to study overseas for my undergraduate degree. I am willing to study anywhere in Europe or the United States of America. However, I am looking for study abroad programs that are low-priced in case I do not secure a full scholarship for my study costs. I therefore, want to settle for a course that charges low tuition fees so that I can meet the high cost of living abroad. I would like to know some of the best study abroad programs that fit my criterion.

Studying overseas, in most instances, has prohibitive costs. However, some organizations provide low priced programs to make your dream to study abroad possible. Here are some of the programs worth mentioning.

Center for Study Abroad (CSA)

CSA offers studying abroad programs to college and pre-college students at low and often discounted fees. It is simple with selected students being posted to a host university. Their programs are reputable and budget friendly.

Their mission is to provide students from diverse areas opportunities, knowledge and exposure to the global world. They ensure all aspects of the students life abroad, including accommodation is taken into consideration.

CSA programs are diverse ranging from short courses in language and culture in various countries as well as longer university courses. Countries you can study in include Germany, France, Spain, Russia and China.

CEA Study Abroad

This program provides educational services to thousands of students every year. CEA Study Abroad provides both academic courses and internship programs for students to venture in across several countries. The programs offered by CEA will help you gain invaluable skills, learn diverse cultures and make yourself more marketable in the job market.

They are extremely affordable and offer an estimated sample budget so that you can have an idea of what costs you will incur as a whole. You can select subsidized CEA programs in France, Germany, Italy or Spain.

AIFS Study Abroad

AIFS, started in 1964, is as old as they come and therefore one of the best study abroad programs. What makes them stand out is the fact that they offer an all-inclusive plan for their students. This is to mean that the cost for a program includes tuition, travel, food and accommodation.

They offer programs in Europe, US as well as other continents. Within this program, you can apply for a half program fee scholarship, which is made available annually.

International Studies Abroad

This program is specifically tailored for American and Canadian students who want to study outside their country of birth or residence. The price for each of their programs varies with the host country. Therefore, European countries such as England are higher priced. However, ISA programs are generally affordable and of very high quality. This program offers opportunities to students at all levels of learning, which includes high school students.

Note that ISA is affordable but a little higher priced than the previous programs I have mentioned.

These study abroad programs are offer very good. In these times, a large percentage of students are studying abroad. Depending on the host country you choose and the course of study, the costs can balloon to unaffordable figures. If you are lucky, you might be awarded a full scholarship and may not have to worry about the cost of your studies.

However, my advice will differ a little bit. I would say that you look for universities in countries such as Germany first. This is because the education there is free. If your application is accepted, you will only have to pay for the living costs during your stay.

As much as it is free, ensure that the course you enroll to will be beneficial to your chosen career path. Do a self-assessment on why you have decided to study abroad and what you expect to gain from that experience.
