The Mediterranean climate is a warm climate, no harsh winters but warm summers. This means that while the people did not need to spend all summer preparing for the winter, as more to the north, had naps during the greatest heat in the summer. In addition, the heat has given rise to a particular cooking with wine and the olive in the center, and less carbohydrates (what people need to keep warm)
