The best way to do this is to start leading by example. Be the first one to start a task, and do what needs to be done in the best way possible. Help others to do what you need to do, and adapt and include any new wrinkle that makes the "do" better. Continue leading by example and showing the built-in "wrinkles" that make the best. It may also be useful to give credit to the person or persons who came up with the best idea, but always choose the "best" way to do what needs to be done and always a first step to do so. With a beginning like this, you can start to make inroads with your batchmates. They will come to know you and (with luck) will have the feeling that their concerns and concerns about the work and about them. This will increase the confidence. There are other techniques that can be applied, but this is a start.
