1. Click "Start" and "Control Panel". Enter "Firewall" in the "Search Control Panel" box in the upper right corner of the "Control Panel" dialog box. The results will appear automatically in the dialog box below the search box.. 2. Click on "Allow a program through Windows Firewall" under "Windows Firewall" heading. Click the "change settings" button.. 3. Scroll through the list of programs in the framework of the "Allowed programs and features" heading and click the check box next to the name of the program that you want to unlock. Click the check box under "Home/Work (Private)" or "Public" to give Internet permission to the program. Click the "Add" button to finalize the change.. 4. Click on the option "Allow another program" button if you do not see the program you want to unblock in the list under "Allowed programs and features" heading. Click on the "search" button, then navigate to the directory that contains the program you want to unlock. Double-click the name of the program, then click the "OK" button to add the program to Windows Firewall's list of programs.. 5. Click "OK" to close the "Allowed Programs" dialog box. Click the "X" in the upper right corner to close the "Control Panel" dialog box..
