Here are some ways to try to reduce racism in itself. 1. Remember that a lot of what seems to be racial differences are really differences in social class. When more of a certain group of people in a lower social class, more of that race behave according to the values and culture associated with that class. Put another way, if you see a person begging, it is because they are poor, not because of their color. 2. Tries to distance himself from those that express racist views. If you have to be around them, then you could tell that his words offend you. You should not laugh at any racist or sexist, or homophobic) jokes that can be told. It is better that you are accused of not being able to take a joke than for them to assume that you like their jokes. 3. Do not join hate groups. The problem with being in these groups is that their words little by little take root, and how to treat others can be affected. Adolf Hitler was able to take a large number of average Germans and to convince them that the Jewish people and others were evil and needed to be exterminated. Not yet learned to get that way during the night. They heard years of propaganda. 4. Get to know people outside of their own ethnic group and try to realize that there are good and bad people in every group.
