Efficiency is subjective. Education in the home 3, 5, and 6 years of age, it would be very different from the education in the home of one of 6, 9 and 12 years of age or teenagers for that matter. If you talking about primary age children, many parents get one of the kids started in a lesson, while the other is doing some self-directed work. Then is changed. Sometimes you can keep the children occupied in the same lessons, such as Science or Social Studies, if the ages are not too different. Take a look at the blog in the related link: Homeschool Revolution, where a woman blogs about homeschooling their 2 children using Evolution Homeschool's curriculum. She is honest about the trials and tribulations of education in the home of two children with a new plan of studies in the middle of the year.
