B. the NASA Mission Control--Texas became the new development program of NASA, the mission control is located here. As NASA grew, the South became the home of the expansion program. Florida had launch sites, Texas had the training and the mission control centers. Texas is also the of the astronauts and their families. The Southwest was a test site for the armed forces and space technology.
