The Islam of the Golden age lasted five centuries. The Golden age began in the 8th century and ended in the 13th century. In fact, it was during the middle ages, Islam flourished the most and during this period several Caliphates ruled. It is called the Golden age because during this period there were great advances in the field of science, culture and the economy.
