A fungus is any member of a group of eukaryotic organisms that includes single-celled organisms such as yeasts and molds, as well as multicellular fungi that produce family fruiting forms such as mushrooms and bracket fungi.the hyphae is a long, branching filamentous structure of a fungus, oomycete, or actinobacterium. In most fungi, hyphae are the main mode of vegetative growth, and are collectively called a mycelium. Yeasts are unicellular fungi that do not grow as hyphae.
