Does SUNY study abroad offer great academic programs?

I am looking to send my son to a study abroad program either in the UK or the US for his final semester. Is SUNY study abroad a good place to start looking and do they have such programs in India? Are there study abroad consultants that are reliable and know the entire placement process for international students in either Europe or America? I want a study abroad advisor that will give me a good price and will make sure my son gets into a good college.

The State University of New York is the largest comprehensive university system in the US and one of the largest in the world. The Study Abroad SUNY program offers a 64 institution network of campuses and colleges, online and distance learning centers and academic medical centers. Studying abroad is always a great opportunity for students to expand their knowledge base, meet new people and learn new cultures. Aside from that, you will gain global perspectives, fresh insights and learn how to create your own solutions to problems that face the human race. Being that your son is about to start his final semester, it is great to send him to a study abroad program as that would probably increase his knowledge and he might even learn a new language, which would look great on his resume.

SUNY University at Albany in Bangalore India is a great option if you are looking for an international student community within a local setting. You may also end up saving a good amount when it comes to tuition and travelling fees.  There are experiences that students get to experience as international students which always make for a good life experience too. Exposure is critical for all college students, especially because study abroad programs stretch beyond classroom learning. As a study abroad beneficiary myself, I got to participate in community outreach programs in the area around our campus. I got the chance to volunteer in an orphanage on weekends and I have kept contact with some of the children ever since. The best part is I got learnt Swahili, which allowed me to communicate more easily with the local community.

There are consultants for study abroad programs both globally and specifically within India itself. Some of these include IDP Education, Study Overseas-Global and Study Abroad Consultancy among others. These organizations will help you get placement for your child and will also tell you the best countries and institutions that you should apply to. Since they already know the application process well, they may help your son get through some of the pitfalls normally get when they are applying. An advisor for study abroad will not only share great tips on specific course requirements, (s)he will also guide your son through the specific requirements pertaining to visa, insurance and travelling. At the end of the process, your son should be well prepared for what lies ahead.
