Licensing. Psychologists work in solo or group practice or those who offer any kind of treatment of patients, including clinic, counseling and psychologists in the school must follow certifiestion or conditions of licenses in all States and the District of Columbia. License laws vary depending on State and type of position and require a license or certificate of psychologists to limit their practice to areas in which developed professional competence through training and experience.
