Do you know the USF application deadline for this year?

I’m interested in studying at USF but I don’t know if the USF application deadline is already over. I applied to other universities and I’d like to submit my USF application too. I hope I can check my USF application status online because I’ll be traveling in a few months.

The University of South Florida is located in Tampa, Florida. It has a total enrollment of 50,577 (as of fall 2017) in a campus size of 1,913 acres. It was founded in 1956 and it is a public university. The fact that it is located in the Sunshine State attracts many students each year to come to study at USF, although its position in the 2018 edition of the National Universities is 140th ( https://www.usnews.com/best-colleges/usf-1537 ).

The application deadline for USF is November 1st for the Summer/Fall Semester Start. The final application deadline is March 1st, note though that January 1st is the priority deadline for financial aid consideration and that January 15th is the application completion deadline for students to qualify for admissions scholarships. This means that if you are considering applying for financial aid, you will need to do it as early as possible when the Summer/Fall Semester application process is open.

If you prefer to apply for the Spring Semester Start, the deadline to do so is October 1st. And you will be able to complete your application to qualify for a scholarship until November 15th. In this case, and as we did above, we strongly recommend you to apply early. If you are in your senior year, you can apply as early as August ( http://www.usf.edu/admissions/freshmen/admission-information/requirements-deadlines.aspx ).

You will need about 30 minutes to complete your online application to USF, but it is also possible to save your information and come back later if you need to. Have your credit card at hand, because you will be asked to pay a US$30 fee after submitting your application.

After the university receives all the students’ applications with all their supporting documents, it starts the process of the admissions decision. At the same time that you complete your online application, you will create an account ( https://secure.vzcollegeapp.com/usf/default.aspx?cid=87&ltid=1 ). The same e-mail address that you provide for this account, will be the one that USF will use to communicate with you. Hence, you can check your account frequently to know the status of your USF application even if you are away from home.

Some people say that their application process was too difficult, while other people say that it was quite easy. I would say that everything depends on the time that you have to complete your application. If you start early, it’ll be quite easy for you. But, on the other hand, if you start getting ready when you’re too close to the deadline for the USF applications, you can be in trouble. Because if you don’t have all the requested documents at hand or if your school takes long to provide you with a necessary document, you may easily miss the deadline. And, even if at first it doesn’t seem too serious, you’ll realize later that missing a semester is painful and you’ll regret not having met the first admissions deadline. It happened to me and I still regret that I didn’t hurry then to apply early.

If you think that organizing the documents that you need to submit by the USF application deadline is stressful, I’m sure that you can’t imagine how stressful it can be to wait for the results afterward. Time goes by slowly and even if you submitted your best application, you imagine that there were mistakes here and there. Checking your USF application status can calm you down for a while. Some of my classmates that had also applied to USF kept working normally or spent their time taking introductory college courses.
