In my opinion, the correct answer is C. the balance and the symmetry. However, this refers to the classical music in the strict sense of the word (also known as the music of the Classical period, approx. 1730-1820). The composers of this age (Haydn, Mozart, early Beethoven), insisted on the balance and the symmetry, as the driving forces of harmony. The classical music in the broadest sense encompasses many other styles and periods, such as Baroque (which he loved heavy ornamentation and nearly always had a driving bass line - basso continuo), or the Romance (which was very fond of violent emotions).
