Children who are raised in substandard circumstances should experience a gradual increase in iq, as well as their progress through the educational system, as the system helps them to be more intelligent. However, the life of the home is important for the educational achievement in a way that will not be a complete solution, and iq tests are often biased against people from the poorest households, who may be more likely to be of an inferior quality.
