Can two different fractions have the same equivalent?

Yes you can. For example: if I have the fraction 3/6, this equalsout to 1/2 or 0.5. Another fraction, for example 4/8, when youdivide the numerator and the denominator by 4, you also get 1/2 or0.5. Another way to do this is to get a calculator, and punchin 3/6. You should get 0.5 as your answer. Then a punch in 4/8, you should still get the answer of 0.5 demonstrating that two differentfractions can have the same equivalent.
