Yes, it may take up to 90 days before your hormones have reached the level of a gelding, and if you have been a stallion for a long time, they can continue to mounting behavior despite the fact that it will not be able to get the mare pregnant. A newly castrated horse, you can still get a mare pregnant for a period of time after the surgery. Veterinarians often instruct owners to maintain their newly castrated stallion away from the mares during 30 to 90 days.
