Yes. According to the Federal law Fair debt Collections Law Practices loans can be collected against the seven years of the date of the last payment. If the court is OBTeducated, collection can last up to ten years after the date of the court, and may be extended by the court for an additional ten years. Some state legislation, some loans may be legally collected against for up to ten years with the addition of other ten years if convicted.
