From 1820 to 1830, several states have established their own voting rules and the laws. In most of the States of adult white men were the only ones allowed to vote; but in some States, it is also required that the land itself, and in some other States, free black men could vote too. Anyway, to be an adult white male was the main requirement for voting. By contrast, neither white or black, women couldn't vote until the year 1920.
