In ionic bonds electrons are transferred from one species to another and the electrostatic attraction between ions of opposite charge, leads to the ionic bond.covalent bonds are when electrons are shared between 2 atoms.the difference of electronegativity between the atoms taking part in bond decide if it is a ionic bond or covalent bond.if the difference of electronegativity is very large, then ionic bond is formed. if the difference of electronegativity is very low, then it forms a covalent bond the difference in electronegativity between H and S is very small, therefore it forms a covalent bond by sharing their electronscorrect answer is 2) the electrons are shared to form a covalent bond
